Md Shamim Jahangir, Chairman of Forum for Energy Reporters Bangladesh, since February 2022.

Md. Shamim Jahangir is an award-winning journalist with more than 23 years of experience of covering energy and power, nuclear energy, environment, telecommunications, ICT and agriculture sectors, as well as most of the areas in economy.

Immediately before taking charge as a chairman of the FERB, he had been executive director of the organization, treasurer of Telecom Reporters Network (TRNB) for two terms and general secretary of Chittagong Journalists Forum (CJFD) for four terms.

He is also a lifetime member of Jatiya Press Club, Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU), TRNB, Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) and Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) and CJFD.
